Boon's Sunday Sermon #34 - Light Unto My Feet

One of the biggest obstacles of having such a large family and so many dogs comes in the middle of the night -it's at that nightly 2 A.M trek to the bathroom when you are greeted by UFO's such as toys, legos, and ginormous Golden Retrievers blocking your path that get you tripped up and possibly falling flat on your hind-end.  Thankfully with today's technology the trip doesn't have to be so treacherous.  We have our handy, little cell phones in reach at all times working hard to illuminate the way in front of us, guiding our steps keeping us free from such peril.

We have another such tool available for daily use.  It too can help you find your way even down the darkest path.  And, yes, you can even download it as an app to your smart phone making it easily accessible wherever and whenever you are.  It's the Word of God.

Proverbs 119:105 tells us, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

For every step we take, there is direction in God's Word.

In Job 23:10 we are assured, "But he knows the way that I take;
    when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold."

And Psalm 37:23 tells us, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way."

Whatever you are facing today, God has an answer for.  Seek Him.  He is there.  Let His Word shine light in your life and your situation.

Have a blessed week, friends.
