We're Home!

While the hoo-mans traveled to Arkansas for moms Grandma's funeral this week, Kudzu and I stayed at our good friends house.  Scarlet and the other guys were allowed to stay home since mom's bff came to check on them through the day.  Since me and the ZU DUDE still tend to be a bit on the destructive side, mom said we aren't ready for that just yet.  Apparently she wanted a house left to come home too.  It was nice being at Em's though.  She is our hoo-man girl's bff, and she loves us a lot.

Kudzu was a bit home sick.

Mom says Grandma's funeral was a nice celebration of her life.  Everyone shared favorite memories through the week.  We are sure mom got her spunk from Grandma.  She had a fire and passion that is sure to be missed.  Did we tell y'all that Grandma was 99 1/2 when she passed?  What a blessed woman she was!

Here's a picture of mom's grandma in her younger years.
Mom came by her dog loving nature honestly!

We hated that we couldn't be there with our hoo-mans.  I know we'd have given mom great comfort.  I'm sure they must have been bored silly without our antics.

I am also sure they missed us coming and going as they passed through Transylvania.  We'd have protected them if Dracula had struck.
Our hoo-man sis noted that vampires had sucked the corn dry!

We are all home now.  Right where we should be.  Mom is gearing up for doggie camp which starts tomorrow.  We can't wait!  We'll try to share some details as we go through the week!

We missed you all and are looking forward to catching up on what's been going on in y'alls lives!!

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. Hope your mom is feeling better. Have fun at doggie camp, I can't wait to hear all about it!

  2. Have fun in camp! Sorry about your grandma's passing too. I am sure the humans are really glad to be back with ya!

  3. We missed you, but we are glad you had someone special to care for you while Mom was away. It sounds like the family had a nice celebration of Grandma's life - she sure had a very long life. We hope this week goes smoothly for Mom and all of you - tough to be away and then have to get back on track.

  6. Welcome home, everyone. Looks like everyone had the best time possible under the circumstances. I know all about funeral stuff. I stated my life with my hu-family just as Pappy crossed over. Mommy had to take special care of me one day too. But one thing I learned is that Mommy ALWAYS come back.

    Puppy Kisses,

  7. We're so sorry to hear about Grandma - she sounds like a wonderful lady. You all take care. Glad you had special folks to look after you while she was away!

  8. I'm just getting back into town too. I'm glad the trip went well, and I'm glad the house was in one piece when Mom returned--I know how it is to worry about that! I left Todd for the first time and I think I missed him more than he missed me!!
